The four main Vedic texts are Rig-Veda, Sama-Veda, Yajur-Veda, and Atharva-Veda.
1. Rig-Veda "knowledge of the hymns of praise" 1,017 hymns
2. Sama-Veda "knowledge of the melodies" 1,549 hymns
3. Yajur-Veda "knowledge of the sacrificial formulas" 1,017 hymns
4. Atharva-Veda "knowledge of the magic formulas" 730 hymns
"The practice of indulgences was a payment to the catholic church that purchased and exemption of punishment for some types of sins."
In other words you could pay the church in money so you wouldn't have to pay any punishment for your sins.
I think that Martin Luther objected to indulgences because you are not owning up to your own mistake you are just paying money to forget about them. The act of sin should only be forgiven by God.
Haji is when a Muslim has been to Mecca as a pilgrim.

Using the CIA World Factbook, rank the five religions we have been studying by the percentage of the world’s population that follow them. Then, see if those statistics are consistent with what you find on adherents.com.
CIA World Factbook
1. Christianity 31.4%
2. Islam 23.2%
3. Hinduism 15%
4. Buddhism 7.1%
5. Judaism 0.2%
adherents.com
1.Christianity 33%
2. Islam 21%
3. Hinduism 14%
4. Buddhism 6%
5. Judaism 0.22%
The percentages are close to each other but not the same. The numbers are higher in the CIA World Factbook because they are more up to date. The numbers from adherents.com are smaller because they are older and outdated.
